Mahesh Babu to romance Priyanka in 'Veerudu'
If sources of to be believed, then Tollywood Prince Mahesh and Bollywood actress & former Miss World Priyanka Chopra would be seen together on the silver screen.
It is known that maverick filmmaker Mani Ratnam is going to do an epic classic based on the popular Tamil novel ‘Ponniyin Selvan’ written by Kalki Krishna Murthy. It is a multistarrer and Prince Mahesh will play one of the lead roles while the other will be played by Tamil stars Vijay and Arya. The film will be made in Hindi, Telugu and Tamil simultaneously.
Heroines for the film are yet to be selected. The latest buzz is that the filmmakers have approached Priyanka chopra for the female lead role. It is learnt that she is also keen to work with Mani Rathnam. If everything goes well, she may be playing the female lead opposite Prince Mahesh in the film.
The title ‘Veerudu’ is under consideration for the Telugu version. Kalanidhi Maran is producing this big flick on Sun Pictures banner. Music will be composed by Illayaraja.
Pre-production works of the project are currently going on. Shooting is likely to commence in October. Details of other cast and crew are yet to be known.
